thanks!! everything except for the confetti at the bottom is drawn with the basic pen tool in SAI, i basically just multply layer several times and have the shading overlap / start with light, broader surface areas first and then with every new layer it gets darker and i can add more details. if i want to add 'lighting' or shiny areas i just earase some of the multiplying back to its original color. sorry if that was long SDFSFD
