While I love  CaptainGerBear 's art as well, how come you stopped working with  CursedMarked ?

Personal reasons. We came to the conclusion it was best if we stop working together and just maintain our friendship.

Coach and Chester look the best. Spencer's muzzle is a little too big but that might just be the angle. Hopefully he'll look closer to CM's version when he's facing the camera.
I'm assuming that these are just the character refs and not the actual sprites that will be used in-game? (If memory serves CaptainGerBear does all his references with the characters posed like this.)
Overall, I'm cautiously optimistic. CM and CGB have such different art styles that this change is going to take a LOT of getting used to (and I'm gonna miss the huge bulges...)

Thanks for the input! We are moving to a different perspective that will give us a lot more freedom to add more life into the overall project. It'll definitely be a huge transition.

I have to say I love the designs a lot Grifter I gained a bigger crush on ,but spencer is kinda creeping me out with his face here but the style for them all look good.

based on this grifter, dozer chester,darius and spencer would be my new order

I was curious about this I noticed you mentioned that has a steam account does that mean extra curricular activities might see a new location for downloading in the future? I was curious about if you would take a set up like nekojishi did with a soundtrack to download andmore extras like a art gallery for the future?

I'm going to chime in on that point for what it's worth: Steam would like nothing more than to become the go-to point for bara. Once that happens, you can expect them to take 90% of sales for their shelf space.

The gay community is fairly unified and has good word-of-mouth. There is *no need* to pipe all that money out of our community. We need a site for bara. Any site. Bara on Steam has to direct customers to it, however indirectly. Let us wean ourselves off Steam.

True, but that will most likely (if not certainly) that the game will be a censored version, as Steam doesnt allow "hardcore nudity". A good example is "Coming out on top", another game that was released on Steam recently, which also contained explicit sex scenes. Nothing a small patch can fix though

I'm glad to hear that, but don't rely on it! If the market grows enough they'll change their policy, and the bara developers on steam will give them what they want with both hands. Now is the time, we need a bara site.

While CM's art will certainly be missed, there's no reason for the fans to whine. If they don't like the change and allow it to stop them from enjoying the rest of the game, then it's just their loss, isn't it? It's still a pretty fuckin' sweet VN, regardless.

It'll definitely be an interesting transition. Let's hope all goes well from this point forward. ^^

Kinda miss the large bulges. And how CursedMarked does the nipples. Also in general I don't really appreciate abrupt changes in artists. I mean I like CaptainGerBear's work, but still.

They look pretty good, except Spencer and Darius... Probably because they're the only two I really like.Spencer's too squinty and has a smarmy look that doesn't suit him, and Darius has a douchey look as well. It's an absolute step down from CM's original work.

While I’ll miss the cartoony exaggerated style of CM a bit.

I will certainly appreciate the more realistic smooth style of CGB.

like I said already, good luck with it!I hope that everything will go well for the project!One suggest is I can give is to experiment a bit with the colours of the character and the colours of the background to see how much they fit, since they are 2 different artists, and backgrounds can be pretty hard as well.so, my suggest is to try to see if the characters fit with the backgrounds and ask to your friends as well their opinion, to see if maybe the colours are too bright or such!I wish good luck also to both the artists that are working on this project as well!

They all look amazing! I'm not surprised that so many people are not into the style change, but it's not that different, it's not like the characters themselves have changed all that much apart from some of them look like they've lost some weight, but as I love the VN itself and GerBears art I look forward to seeing more, and of course, the backgrounds!

Honeslty, new art looks amazing and for me, it looks more realist. But I'm still not sure about it moslty because I was already used to the big hunky and bulgy CM's style. But I know I will slowly like this new one more and more.
I just have one request: make sure Darius has all his expressions on point! His stupid teasing comments and grins always make my day

CaptainGerBear is an awesome artist, and I think he's done a great job so far in adapting CursedMarked's unique style.

I haven't played the game in a while, so this might be a good time to change that!

The characters are really different, but I like most of them because they mantain the original concept and their personalities shows from it.
I'm trully impressed by some of the new sprites, Dozer and Chester both looks great! But I think that Spencer and Darius changed TOO much not only from their sprites, but also from their concept of characther.
CaptainGerBear it's a great artist and I know he can do better for those two ;)

It's sad that CursedMarked couldn't end this project with you, but I know that EA will continue to be great for everybody =D

OMG! Spencer without his arms crossed for once! Finally! He was the only one in the group who always had his chest covered (except for sexy times), so it was annoying for the longest time. Thought maybe he was self conscious about them or something, lol.

Really loving how everyone is looking, especially Chester, Richard, and Coach. Seriously never considered Richard to jump so high in my rankings, but the Southern Daddy look is working great for him! Always knew Dozer was gigantic (both in height and muscles), but never really noticed it until this different artstyle, so that's going to take some getting used to. Kinda think Spencer and Darius should be just a tad thinner, same with the Protagonist. I mean, they already are compared to the rest of the Bara style guys, so I guess it's more of a nitpick really. The different poses, positioning and such will probably help sell me on it better.

I'm sure it was tough to change artstyles after so long, but hopefully people aren't too upset about this. Can't wait to see everyone in the different outfits and stuff! Keep on trucking on!

I am extremely excited and extremely sad at the same time. I really like Cursedmarked’s art and i am going to miss the bulges. But at the same time this feels like its going to be a more comfertable change for me. *Unless cap’n dosen’t change Spencer’s look. Sorry big guy, but your version of Spencer is creeping me the fuck out, and he’s my boyfriends favorite character.*

I gotta ask though, what will CM do now? ;-; is he just gonna work on commissions again or is he gonna work on other projects like Ideka?

While I'm not crazy about having a model for the MC now - feels less immersive to me - I think this is a really nice style! I'm looking forward to seeing more of everyone's expressions in this art style.

soo i had only recently found this and im sure SOMEWHERE, there might be a mentioning but however. seeing that i have yet to find it, i do have to ask one fair question that been kinda bugging me through out the entire time i been enjoying this. what exactly is the height measurements of all the characters? i know its something simple and prob a bit silly but however it really has been on my mind and i cant seem to find the info. also i would like to mention, i do find novel to be interesting and my favorite character so far is spencer, though ill admit that i dont like the image of him posted in the pic here, i do more love the personality. anyhow though keep up the good work, and i hope to see more in the future :)

on the spencer part, i mostly mean the face part of him in this pic. between the smile and his eyes. as i look further into the pic, i noticed that the knees are a bit to similar to each other especially in terms of height i think? im sorry if this isnt the correct place to post a critique of sorts or to ask a question, i dont normally post or so, i also know you must be satisfied with how they came out but i still wanted to put my 2 cents in. anyhow ill take my time to repeat my question what are their height measurements?

Aahhh god, I'm gonna miss CM a lot with the art with all the big tidded and big bellyed characters, I REALLY loved how maria looked in their style too, off topic, I think maria got me into loving siamese cats too

I got into the game relatively recently, so I'm more used to the new art style, but I can sympathize with having very dear friends that don't translate well over into professional relationships. There are some people that I love to death, but creatively we just don't mesh super well.
