Yeah, I know, the colors are all eye-searing again. It’s because I colored this back before the whole Something Awful advice thing, but I pushed it back a bit to premiere my awesome coloring in that strip with Melvin and the Chinese food earlier. Also, this one takes place outside, so, I dunno, it’s a bright sunny day or something. Tune in next week for more shennanigans!

Woah, am I seeing things because I overdosed on my homeopathic medication, or did you just totally rag on the most well respected form of alternative medicine in the land completely out of the blue? Man, I'm so high on these alternative pharmaceuticals right now. I'm tripping alternative balls. Bizzaro! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's the pill full of water talking.
I do not mean to be a dick or overly critical or anything but... this comic just sort of doesn't work without the reader either having prior knowledge of Melvin's fatty fetish or already knowing what this obscure syndrome that nobody has heard of is. Either that or they go research it, but by that time the punchline has already passed. People on the SA webcomics thread are misinterpreting it as Melvin HAVING Prader-Willi and being slightly retarded and too slow to react while driving, making him crash.
I think, at this point in the comic, it's acceptable to make jokes that require some passing familiarity with the characters' quirks. It's not like every Garfield had a little footnote saying "BTW GARFIELD IS FAT AND LAZY AND HE HATES MONDAYS AND LOVES LASAGNA"
Also if I made comics by what goons thought was funny, it would be nothing but a big sign saying "THE GUY WHO DRAWS NEDROID SAYS THIS IS FUNNY SO YOU THINK IT'S FUNNY TOO"
