It was when Emrakul drove Innistrad into madness (thanks for that wizards -.- ) that the wolfir were caught between the various parties. With the end of the cursemute the werewolves were back again and people distrusted the canine wolfir while their savage relatives, the werewolves were also enemies of the wolfir that once had been allies of the angels.
So they were torn and many of them died while they were homeless on a dark mad world. Cian then one day decided to venture off into the wilds with a group of his kin, searching for a save place somewhere on Innistrad. While the planeswalker was not bound to this world he yet was loyal to his brothers and sisters and would go with them until the very end.
Only rarely, when they had found temporary shelter, he left Innistrad to seek aid somewhere else in the multiverse and as fate had it, he indeed found someone to help him. It was on Kaldheim where he came across a leonin with golden fur that introduced himself as Ceos. He told Cian that he could sense the sorrow in him and as if it was natural to trust the stranger Cian told him what shadow lay upon his kin. The leonin had listened silently until the wolfir was done, then he nodded and stood up. "Then we shall help your people. But I fear that there is no save place on Innistrad anymore." He spoke calmly and with widsom of aeons witnissed, while Cian wouldn't have guessed his age to be beyond twenty or thirty summers at the most. "Wherrrre sharll Ir brring mry breethren then if theirr worrld irs nort saver? Theyr can't walk betweenrr worrlds." Cian spoke, tho speaking the the common tongue still troubled him in his wolfish form as pronounciation was harder with his muzzle. This was then again the only moment when he wished to be human again, the strength and freedom of a wolfir he would trade for none anymore.
At the question the golden furred cat only smiled warmly like a ray of sun in the wintery forest that surrounded them. "I shall take care of this my friend, you go back to your world and gather your kin. Tell them you found their way home."
And so they parted again and did not meet until a full moon had passed. In a starless night Ceos then came to the wolfir, his fur a golden shimmer of warmth in the dark night of Innistrad. He and Cian led the remaining group of wolfir then through the mountains. Few they had become as they had never been many and their grim world had taken some of them mercilessly.
They had walked through the night until they reached a dolmen gate behind which all the stars of a nightsky seemed to have gathered to form a silken veil. Cian and Ceos stood watch as the wolfir passed through this mythical gate, sun and moon standing next to each other. THey were the last to pass and as they left the world the gate crumbled and all the stars resolved back into the nightsky. Yet none of the wolfir could have seen this as they were gazing upon the world of Adastra for their first time and it should be their new home and little would they miss their grim cradle, as they had set foot upon a world under eternal stars that filled the nightsky in a way they had never seen before, seeming to be alive on their own. Two moons drew their circles among them and send silver light down on them. Then as they were still full of wonder and some fearing to be dreaming, Ceos silently departed from them as he had sworn not to ever interfear in the fates of the people of his world as their were their own and their own were their lives and their fate. Only Cian would see him often as he was not bound to this world, but to all worlds and they would become close friends with the years.
Yet short after their arrival Cian was just as full of wonder than his brethren as he as well never had set foot on this world as Ceos had created this world to be invisible for the eyes of every planeswalker and only those he invited would find their way to Adastra.
Now the wolfir of Innistrad had arrived and they wandered for some days until they reached the borders of the biggest forest of Adastra and this forest the nativ elves called their home. Wild and free they were and they prayed to the great wolf Feynir, who they belived to live in the bigger moon of the two and have created the nightsky above them. In the smaller moon they belived to live his children, white wolves of great skill in hunt and so loyal to their father that they could not live on Adastra as it was too far away from Feynir.
So it came that the elves were the first of Adastra's people to meet the wolfir and they would greet them heartly like their own kin as they thought they were a sign of the great wolf and Cian, the wolf with white fur being the herald of him. And a great feast was held that day when the wolfir had found their home among the elves of Adastra, who where wild and free and passionate and kind all the same, what the wolfir would then share with them and a deep friendship had been planted that night.
