A scene out of last year's Nano novel.

StarRunner and Comet had been kidnapped among other things. In an attempt to escape, StarRunner tried to take on one of the guards but ended up seriously injured. the guard, however, didn't fare too well.

I'm rather stuck at this point. Does StarRunner live via deaux ex machina, or does sie die? Either way, their sire is going to be extremely pissed and sie will go on a rampage with their mother right beside her.
