One of the absolute most difficult planes you could ever hope to catch is one of two 747SPs owned by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation.
Both aircraft are more than 38-years-old, but VQ-BMS is slightly older and is a 747SP-21.
I was spotting on 25 Feb 2018 when I noticed this aircraft moving. It usually just sits on the apron alongside the A340-500 that was acquired back in 2014. It departed from runway 1L and made its way to Victorville, roughly 30-35 minutes away.
The difficulty in catching this rare bird is due to never knowing when exactly it'll fly. Test flights are normally conducted, but there are occasions that it will fly to other airports.
And just so you guys know, the last time I caught one of these 747SPs was more than two years ago on the last weekend of 2015.
