The 5th century Scythian dagger thats been in progress for so long....
The intention was to oil blacken the blade...But this first attempt was a failure.
The finish is patchy and dull.
Not the nice, shiny black I was anticipating.
I'm going to show this to the customer- But I expect to strip it, and try again.
I do have to admit. In this finish, it looks hundreds of years old.
However, it also looks like crap on toast. So it needs to be done over.
