:E Perspective is all off, nothing is defined, and there is no real layout to it. It's a bunch of vague smudges.
I dunno I think it's blah but it's only because I see better all over the place!

Haha, I know how that is. I'm so focused on the character, their personality, how to get them down on paper, that I'm like "...background? Why! I want people to look at the person, not the pretty trees around them D:" But I also understand that it's important in a picture.
And I'm not saying that your background was OMFG DETAILED, but it's dramatic. It lets the eyes relax, you can totally tell where he is, and I think it works. So nyeh. <3
