Not really any research notes to be had on this one. Just a photo I took of my mom around christmas last year. She was having a nice cup of hot punch, and I just couldn't resist taking a snap-shot of it. It just seemed so serene, peaceful and warm and I really did enjoy spending some time with her and dad around the holidays.
My mom, Carnation Snow, works as the news-caster for the late night news, so she usually has to be up for work very late. I think that's why she looks a little tired on this picture. She just needs some time to adapt to the "normal" night-and-day rythm any time she has a few days off. At least she can spend them sitting in her favourite arm-chair in the warmth of our home and have some nice hot drinks.

Aw, this is adorable. She's every bit as beautiful as you are, and I love how calm and happy she looks at this particular moment. Sometimes, a few moments of peace and quiet and a nice hot drink can make a world of difference, and it sounds like she could use a break now and then.
It's nice to see her in the spotlight on occasion, too, and it's really nice that you're so close to her.

Why thank you very much! I am sure she'd be flattered to hear that. She is an amazing woman and I really appreciate having her as family. And can't we all use a break and some hot drinks? It's really amazing how the world just seems to be slowing down around you once you sit down with a mug of hot liquid.
I would absolutely love to give her some more time in the spotlight as well. There hasn't really been a good opportunity for that outside of the third comic yet, but I sincerely hope I can dedicate a bit more spotlight to her at some point.
