Moogle is a homeless cat who lives on the streets. He is not an indoor cat and was captured with a humane cat trap in order to take him to the vet to remove his eye. You can find more information in my gallery about Moogle and his struggles
I've managed to get a couple hours of sleep but as usual that I find my self, I'm having some trouble sleeping so I decided to update some photos of Moogle. My latest journal is also updated about moogle's capture .
I went when there was still enough light to see to feed the cats, it took about an hour for Moogle to finally fall for the trap and by the time he did it was so dark that I failed to see that Mai Mai, one of Moogle's family members had also been caught in the trap along with him He was very scared and ramming himself against the trap walls so I threw a blanket on the trap and rushed him home. I had taken part of the blanket off the cage to see if he was alright but it wasn't until the blanket was completely off the trap that I saw Mai Mai. Poor thing she was not supposed to get caught! It was difficult keeping the other cats out of the trap before Moogle.
Moogle tomorrow (Meaning this morning 7:00 am - 9:00am) will be going to the vet on an emergency call. Hopefully they can squeeze me in early. He is doing well and amazingly enough received his first human touch This poor wild cat who was born on the streets allowed me to pet him and enjoyed ear scratches, but this is as much as I have interacted as any more physical contact I don't want to scare him as he seems to trust me a little. He is sweet, gentle, even in a strange environment. Mai Mai does not want to be touched poor little girl . I have two choices with her, I can either apply for coupons online and spay her and agree to return her back to her colony with an ear clipping or find another means to spay her and see to it that she is adopted. It's up to Mai Mai and I hope she will want to be adopted
Now they are both safe in a storage room that I have cat proofed. I just wish I could move my storage out so they would have a little more room to run around but I have no where to put it and my bathroom is too small for them. I just can't believe the small amount of time it took to catch Moogle . All the cats mouths were watering for the tin of fish I put inside the cage, they had already all eaten some fish but Moogle had not because he was droopy as usual because of his sickness, so when he saw a whole tin of fish sitting off by its self he couldn't resist and WAM he was caught in the trap.
Before nightfall hit poor little guy had ants crawling on his fur trying to get to the eye wound . His wound tonight has some blood in it and is very pussy. He has a fever. I only hope that the stress of moving him here does not effect his over all health or make him depressed that his immune system fails. He is very sick poor little guy.
I will call the vet's office as soon as they are open, which will be in a few minutes.

you are such a sweet person to do this for animals who are less fortunate. Moogle is a sweety and i hope everything goes very well for you and him.
I hope he does get batter and those ants leave him alone, if you can i would try and shower him.
Ill pray for the little guy
if you need any help i can send some money for him.

It's GREAT that he might get in the vet's today! It never occurred to me that, being strays, they might not be 'pettable' cats...I'm glad Moogle is smart or sweet enough to do what is going to keep him alive.
The ChipIn already has 20% of the money for the goal, and I know you have a little other money to help with the operation but I'm now viewing the ChipIn as general "pay for the rest of the operation and maybe spay some strays" fund.
It's all a good cause!

I've just got off the phone with the Vet I will be taking Moogle in very soon. People donated over $600 to help Moogle :). I am so grateful for everyone's help. I am not sure at this time it if will cover all his medical costs but any extra will be used to help him and his homeless cat family further.
