The walrus never worked in his life. He simply floated through life with just his fortune's income, and thus had quite the hedonistic lifestyle. Food, liquors, cigars...
While he isn't a bad man, far from it, he never had to make a single effort in his life. Which was pretty obvious, when you looked at him...
