Judging by her form, that was still one HELL of a punch! It also got the compliment of a bouncer twice her size, who she managed to do more than knock his head to the side!

A person's face is full of hard bones. Punching someone in the face can hurt the attacker's fist as much or more than the target.
Pike is an adult male and he works as a bouncer, he's physically fit and is probably accustomed to taking a few punches from men a lot bigger than Vi.
Vi however is a young girl with very little muscle and little to no experience fighting.
