I'm liking your reference work! It's a clean and concise turnaround, and the colors have a lot of harmony. I like that you're using a slightly muted palette for his outfit- it still brings to mind the vivid primaries one often associates with superheroes, but the darker colors give it a more mature, grown-up vibe. The shoulder padding adds to a tough and strong-looking silhouette, too!

Also, hooray for more super-powered felines! I have one or two of my own.
