Finally out of the hospital, Chris Mouse takes his first steps into the wider world by moving into a Halfway House, to finish his recovery. He'll find plenty of wonders, and make some new friends, but life can be ugly sometimes, and Chris isn't about to be spared.
I never expected "The Diary of Chris Mouse" to be such good reading. I had vauge ideas of going back to it, someday, but having five different people tell me they were eager for more...well, how can I possibly dissapoint you folks? In addition, there are a couple of hidden cameos, this time around, and the character of Shawnie, is dedicated to the real collie of the same name. She lived a long, happy life with us, as a outdoor dog, and my only regret is that I was too young to really appreciate her.
Part II will be posted as soon as I'm done writing it.

That is the millon dollar question. Originally Dave wasn't even supposed to appear where he originally did. But my muse smacked me over the head, recognsizing a golden oppertunity, when she saw one. I can't say much, right now, for two reasons.
I'm deliberately letting this story write itself, so there are some things I won't know, until I actually write them out. And I don't want to tell you one thing, and then later contradict it, when Dave's stage call finally comes.

This is the reason I'm watching you. This is, as far as I can remember, the best post-transformation story I've ever read. The writing is excellent, the process of adjusting is more carefully considered here than I've seen it anywhere else, and - as if that wasn't enough - there's so much still unrevealed that I can hardly bear to wait for the next installment. Brilliant work.
