Designed on request for the Lupinian military, the CAZ-6 is a fairly conventional general purpose vehicle. The panels are all reinforced to withstand small arms fire and shrapnel, the tires are fire retardant and metal laced, and the engine block is designed to slide forward after removal of the radiator (and lowering of the front panels) for ease of maintenance. The rear door swings down with the rear window above it swinging up, allowing placement for large objects through the rear space, and the windows are comprised of thickened glass plates with noble gas in between them.

What makes it unique is the small fire-control system, packaged to a periscope to allow use of the top mounting without leaving the relative safety of its interior. A belt feeding setup for the interior is optional, limiting the range of view but allowing longer sustained fire without need for reloading outside of the vehicle.
