Mercedeseses... (circa 2000)
Here's some pics of my South Philly fleet, circa May, 2000.
Front to rear: Entchen (1967 250S, never did much with her apart from installing Euro headlights and replacing the headlight switch, which was akin to wrestling with a small octopus); Rommel (1968 220D, noted for The Strange Saga of Mercedes Mouse); and Ilitis aka the Hurstmobile (1972 250, subject of "Farewell, Old Friend"). Needless to say, none of these cars are in my fleet today, alas...

Nah, that happened to the Blue Max (aka The SPECTRE Staff Car. I sold Entchen and Rommel, and Iltis blew its engine en route to the Mephit Furmeet in '05.
Wow... this sure makes me feel nostalgic... and so jealous at the same time, heh. These beautiful automobiles deserve to be preserved in the best way possible. One street down where I love, someone has a '67 250, in dark bottlegreen, but it hasn't moved from the driveway for ages, you can tell from the tires deforming a bit due to standing still all the time. I SO wish I could take that car over from them and give it the treatment it deserves, but that won't happen I'm afraid...
