It's easy to mistake Kuru for the all time leader of the Makir Empire when she's just in command of the military and foreign affairs.
Elio is the one responsible of the Empire, the one who pulls the strings, the one Kuru and her buddies don't want to upset.
And if you thought Kuru was a smug bitch towards other species, you haven't met Elio. He's the kind who'd get offended by your mere presence around him, with your pathetically minuscule body and primitive ideals, right before squashing you on sight out of contempt.
You can also witness here how Umbras look when they get old. Their funky volatile composition has them slowly evaporate and regenerate simultaneously, with evaporation taking the upper hand over time, looking like "slowmo black fire" as Kit once said. Even Umbras getting old look cool, they truly are a superior lifeform.

Are his legs that way too due to age or just due to the variations in anatomy umbras have? Also do they evaporate entirely at a certain age or enough to be a "dead by age" or what happens with more time after this point?
