Naw man, don't feel bad.

Boucher is from a small town a few cities away from New Orleans. Tho her species is non-native to Earth, she herself was born and raised there. Her great-great grandmother and father picked named from the area when they migrated to help them transition into their new lives as earthlings. However they didn't have much of a handle on many of Earth's languages yet, they likely didn't realize they had picked a French name.

Actually, a french name would fit with New Orleans. The thing used to be part of French Louisiana in the past ;)
