I was curious if it was a bilateral design like most of the starships or single engines like the Kelvin in the last movie.
That's a shame as it looks like it has potential based on the crew picture and their descriptions but I do understand how time consuming creating comics can be too.

She does have only one warp nacelle. However she has two skooter nacelles.
The skooters are designed to use magnetic pulls from planets and suns as an alternate form of propulsion. She can get much closer to planets than other ships half her size or even enter the atmosphere if the planet is large enough. They also provide extra shielding in emergencies, and in last ditch efforts can physicality repel metallic ammunition shot in her direction or in some cases, entire ships.
She's a good sized ship, but she's no fighter. Having extra shielding and the ability to go places other ships can't is very helpful.

Those skooter nacelles are a new idea to me but they sound fascinating. Do they work in place of an impulse drive? Or do they augment the warp nacelle? And what does the NCK in the registry number stand for?
Please forgive all the questions but I find your design here rather unique and I'm sure I've mentioned interesting already.

The skooters can't function at a quarter of the pace the warp nacelle can. If anything they'll actually slow the ship down some if you attempt running them when the warp in engaged. The skooter nacelles are great for impulse and keeping the ship still when entering atmospheres or riding electrical storms, but the recycling rate is too slow for anything beyond warp 2. Because the pull and discharging of the magnets is so strong they literally pulls the ship to a stop every time they recycle.
To be honest, I'm not sure what the NCK ship registry stands for. I remember looking up the information when I originally designed the ship, but I've long since forgot.
I also apparently forgot about a little thing called spell check. As this drawing is littered with little errors...
