And on the colouring (the following is not meant as anything other than hopefully helpful tips/info/something)...
Your shading is a bit - weak, faded... It's not that it's bad shading, it's just very faint and gradient-y. Shadows are generally a bit more well defined. Not quite to the point where they have an edge (unless you're doing cell shading), but it's clear where there is and is not shadow. Unless you're in dim light...
And highlights in fur looks neat if it's applied in little streaks, as if the light hits a clump of hair or even just a few individual hairs.
Also, wet things shine. Eyeball highligth? Possibly snouts and piercings too.

But it looks good as it is. :3 Just trying to hopefully help.
