Oh boy, what can I say about Space Patrol Luluco? Or hell, what can I say about Studio Trigger in general? They're an anime company after my own heart. For most of my life, Sgt. Frog was my favorite anime, but then, Trigger's Kill la Kill dethroned it, and just when I thought an anime couldn't possibly be made for me more than that, Little Witch Academia not only dethroned that, but dethroned it hard! So hard that it instantly became, not just my favorite anime, but one of my favorite pieces of media of all time due to the fact that I related so much to the main character that the ending to the first season made me literally cry tears of joy, something I didn't even think was a real thing that could happen, I thought being so happy that you cried was something movies made up.
And it's because I heard that Space Patrol Luluco had an episode crossing over with Little Witch Academia that I had to watch it, and once again, it was just so good! Yet another feather in Studio Trigger's cap. Not only was it incredibly funny, not only did the crossover with Little Witch Academia more than deliver, but it also crosses over with my previous reigning champion Kill la Kill, and two other animes that I never even knew about but really want to watch because their Space Patrol Luluco episodes were fantastic even without seeing the source material. It's basically the closest thing to a Kingdom Hearts TV show we're going to get.
And in addition to all of that, we're introduced to a character, one of the villains, who may not have dethroned Morrigan Aensland as my number one waifu, I haven't fully decided yet, but if she didn't then she's so close of a second that she might as well be sharing the number one spot with her. At first she doesn't seem anything special compared to other sexy anime women, but what sets her apart is a particular line of dialogue where she gives this villainous speech about how she's "free from the illusion of normalcy." That's what made her top-tier waifu material to me, the fact that in layman's terms, she basically just said "fuck normies." Now that is a villain I'd gladly be a henchman for! In fact, I think I have a copy of my resume around here somewhere, and I never got a phone call back from Robbie Rotten, I think I'mma give it to her.
UPDATE: The not-too-distant-future, next Sunday A.D.
Turns out fictional characters aren't real and can't accept resumes....................or marriage proposals...
