If you haven't been following the

With that out of the way, this is the end result of the Anxiety Dress saga. If you read the last artist comments in the last piece, you'll know that I made the bold decision to take this dress and turn it into something else, despite having no real experience making clothing. I can sew, but this was far beyond any little thing I'd done in the past.
With some very careful planning and using another vest as a template, I was able to put this together.
There's still some lingering issues of self image and respect, but this went a long long way towards showing that I care far more about her being comfortable with herself and how she chooses to prevent herself, over how she thinks she's supposed to look. And that I think she should dress however she damn well wants to, because she'll always be attractive to me no matter what.
with all the romantic-ness out of the way though, I do want to say that I didn't expect it to turn out as well as it did. Especially being that I've never tried it before. I don't do it often, but I really like to sew, and I've been looking for a new hobby to throw myself into. Maybe I'll try something like this again just for my own purposes. And maybe actually learn how to use a sewing machine (this was all by hand.) If I do anything interesting, I'll keep y'all posted.

So is using a machine, but in a different way. The machine is watching the needle to make sure it doesn't catch, ensuring your lines are straight, not going too fast, but not too slow, either or you lose the string, or make a knot. It doesn't take as much physical energy, but it takes a lot more mental concentration than you'd think.
