One must undergo the pain, to start anew.
Experimental personal piece of Nimmeth done with watercolors and gouache. I was inspired by photos shedding antlers from deer. When they grow new ones, they are covered in a silklike fur, which starts to itch and they start to scratch it off, witch causes the bloody antlers. I really like that in a symbolic way :)

Everything is cyclic. It occurred to me once that the deer's bleeding velvet leading to renewal was something like menstruation. The body discards old tissue and blood. Goats, of course, keep the same horns throughout their lives; if they break one, it's broken until they die. Must be a deeper meaning, there.
