Actually, at the point I decided to take the Pokemon out of PvA, Pokemon were the only major aspect that was under copyright. Story and characters were mine and graphics I can do to.
Also taking out the Pokemon and making my own assets gives me far greater control! Can get a higher resolution and more detailed sprites.
