Something I was curious about, these aliens were capable of transformation / mimicking other species in the game.
Was that possible only if they've consumed said species, or just having met the species? (particularly, seeing that absorption part inside)
Just was curious, since you mentioned "when vore ability is active" here, I imagine not all of them are capable of it, at all times?
So that would be kinda limiting to whether some could disguise themselves, if they had to eat a species to absorb / copy it. >3>

Good eye! So here's how they work. The species of Exstory you see here is a Worm-Class Exstory. Unlike other Exstory sub-species, it does not have any arms. Instead, they own a unique ability to transform using DNA. After eating a meal, they can absorb the DNA and then turn into that creature, or mix DNA. However, DNA can fade over time and once it's gone, they cannot change back into that form until they get more DNA.

As for their vore ability, that is not native to the Exstory. Like the DNA, they most copy the vore DNA to be able to swallow large prey whole. Eating prey whole helps them with their mission, as it helps them harvest life energy much better then if they were to "hard vore" their prey.

So to put it simply. Exstory needs to eat another species to become that species.
And they need to copy the Vore ability off a vore orb to be able to swallow large prey.

I suppose I'm out of the loop, but is the game still in the making? I enjoyed it quite a bit

The game is still being worked on, although its progress has been slow recently. I plan on making an update video soon to explain where the project is going, to help people out of the loop catch up. :3

that sounds great! though I must admit that something that has been on my mind is the difficulty of the end of the original demo XD

A lot of people has expressed how hard that boss was. Some people thought it was just right or easy but most found it to hard. Might have actually been no real training on how to deal with the tight spaces. That and the mini game running up to it.

Nice anatomy design :) a couple of questions, was the prey in this pic coincidence or is this one supposed to be the exstory you meet in the demo? And does the 3 chamber biology remains after they become someone else or does it change to the one of the form they are taking?

The Houndoom is a little of both. I knew that many people would understand the image better seeing the Houndoom, so I put him in there. However the Exstory in the game wouldn't had have time to eat much else.

Anatomy isn't set in stone yet, but shouldn't be too much different from this. The chamber positions would like be the same, though sizes might change to fit the form the Alien is in.
