In order to contain all that debris, the gods created a special jewel known as the Cosmic Crystal. If it were to shatter, it can result in the destruction and reformation of the universe. In order to prevent this (a second time) guardians are chosen to protect it. The latest in this long line is Tearus Tegmark Terminal Ryusei Kosmos, but is known as Terry. But he's more focused on his college finals than the fate of the universe it seems.
