She is beyond awesome. I can't even handle how cool she is. If you pet her, she nearly vibrates herself to pieces, it's hilarious!

I'm thinking of getting a ratty, but they don't live long and I don't wan the heartbreak.

THIS was exactly the reason I stopped trying. The only reason I got Mag was because she's blind. We took her to the vet (as a tag-a-long with a few snakes we were taking in for a check-up) and he told me that because of her deformities (the lack of eyes being the least of her worries), there's no telling if she'll have a normal lifespan or not. So in a way, it's a bit better because I'm prepared for the worst, but still... I didn't think I'd get this attached!

Definitely! They're pretty intelligent and very forgiving. I think they somehow KNOW when they're being taken in by someone who wants them more, too. :)

OMG that's an adorable name! We have Flash and her boyfriend Marsellus Wallace, and they just gave us a surprise baby about a week ago. Rorschach!

they may only live to about four years, but those four years are... well simply amazing. Rats are incredibly affectionate pets, and i highly recommend buying one. the cage and bedding and foo dmay cost a little bit, but altogether not an expensive pet, you can buy rats for like four dollars as they are mostly sold as snake food. Costs aside, i LOVE having rats, and they are a great choice.

I've always wanted a mouse, myself. Unfortunately I can't, so I have to give my character a mouse buddy and live vicariously through him. xD

I've lived YEARS and had several rats, but they never wanted to bond with me. So this is a first for me, to actually have a rat enjoy my company back!
