also I've got a question. If a pregnant druid were to shape shift would the fetus stay Nightelf or would it change to a cat?
and would it change back?

If we go by D&D Changeling standards, the gestating child would remain the combination of the parents at the time of conception. But... that's about all I have to draw in in that situation. Changelings being the Ebberon race that was descended from Dopplegangers.

that's good reasoning. while it may not be the same lore it's safe to assume that changelings all work along the same parameters.
