I grew up on a lot of fiction. A lot of fantasy.
Fiction does a really good job of painting an impossible picture of love. And then we turn around and try really hard to emulate it, to find it in real life. Sometimes, we think we've got it for a little while. Sometimes, we think we at least see it in other people, like a little beacon of hope that we might find it ourselves, some day.
A few weeks ago, my parents decided to admit that they don't actually love each other. That it was just for each other, for the kids. That they've been miserable, that they've wasted so much time.
I don't know what the fuck love is. I don't know if it even exists outside of fiction and fantasy.
But you've been stable. You've been there. I've been so much happier with you than I was without, and that means more to me than I could ever explain.

It is everything you need it to be... Love to me is just that... Wanting someone to be with you for no reason at all, just for that one moment that is made 100 times more special because they are there... It needs no more than that... But perhaps if we look at eachother and share these feelings, they can flourish; Thanks for being my friend Fek, I'm happy you found your center, somewhere to find love even if its so confusing to see it outside IRL
I Remember growing up my parents would always quote a scripture verse from the bible love is patient love is kind love is enduring. There is alot of description in that verse to the charcater of love. As the word love is a pretty loosley general term that we use to describe all the characters of love we come across in our lives. As I become my own person in life with new found opinnions and beliefs now there are still some things from my upbringing that i carry in my heart that I feel is true to me. And love is defiently one of those things. Your parents may not have loved each other but there love for you is what brought them to be togther. Crazy what love does. Just thought i add my 10 cents in. Anyways hope my comment was encouraging. (*Not trying to get into religious conversation here**) anyways love is more then a feeling. And more then a commitment. Its a transformation and a process.
