Blain es un gigante de Jotunheim pero no están colosal como un titán, debe estar en sus 4 o 5 metros. Simplemente el enfoque y la perspectiva lo hacen ver muy gigantesco. Nieto de Ymir e hijo Yemel, Blain fue criado por unos campesinos de las montañas pero por el paso del tiempo creció tanto que podía quedarse en su casa y tuvo que marcharse.
