A Valentine Day short that offers a rare look into the universe where Jack is a trainer, kinda, with his pokemon and mate Xenera. Yeah sorry if this one feels short and rushed, I tried ot get it done and out before I go to sleep. Anyway, I tried to make it a bit more humorous then most.

The idea was pitched to me by my great friend  Snowfyre Hope he does enjoy it same with all you that also read it :)

The day passed by at a good pace, not fast or slow as couples celebrated Valentine’s Day. Some having a meal at a nice restaurant, others spending it watching a romantic movie in the cinemas or some just spending it at home, cuddling up with their lover. Jack and Xenera were doing the latter, on the couch in his home cuddled up on the couch, just watching TV.


The dingo smiled as he turned his head towards the Xerneas, leaning over as he gave her a nuzzle. Xenera returning the nuzzle back lovingly the two just enjoying each other’s company and barely paying too much attention to the TV as it played some romantic comedy. “Got to love like today. No one else, but you and me” Jack spoke finally, looking up at the Legendary Pokemon with a grin.


“Every day is good to be with you Jack. Whether people are around or not” Xenera replied, nuzzling him again. Jack chuckled, reaching up as he gave her a gently and loving kiss. Even though both didn’t have any plans to go out, they were both still dressed. Jack in his blue shirt with the word ‘Believe’ written on it and wearing simple green shorts. Xenera wore something simple herself, going for a bra and a skirt, it was a bit hard for her to wear shirts due to her antlers after all.


“Aww. Love you Xenera”


“Love you too, Jack”


The two hugged each other still, before turning back to the movie. Jack’s brown eyes dipped down as he glanced towards the coffee table in front of the couch. He sniggered a bit, seeing candy wrappers that he had brought for today. It was hard to find ones that fit the Valentine Day theme and didn’t have any chocolate in them, he would admit. But he still managed to find them either way, the real challenge was to keep them hidden until today. Still he did always manage to distract Xenera when she had come close to finding them.


His attention was turned back towards the legendary as he smirked again, hugging her tightly. “But today isn’t done yet. I still have one last thing for you” the dingo stated chuckling as Xenera looked down at him with a confused look. “Not going to tell, you will know when it gets here. I just hope you like it” Jack added giving her another kiss and a nuzzle against her neck.


“I can’t wait to see what it is” she said excitedly, returning the nuzzle and kiss.


Time passed a bit, before there was a knock at the door, Jack got up and quickly walked to the hallway to the front door. Opening he smiled seeing the delivery man standing there with a banquet of flowers in his arms. “Ah yes, I’m looking for Jack? Please sign here” he said looking down at his clipboard and handing it over


Jack nodded as he signed the paper, and took the flowers from the man’s hold. With a ‘Have a good day’ from both side, the dingo closed the door as he hid the flowers behind his back and walked back into the living room. Xenera watched the doorway with curiosity, but Jack kept his body blocking the view of the flowers. “Well I did say that there was something else I had gotten you for today. And here they are” Jack said, bringing his arm around and revealing the flowers with a smile.


Walking closer he held them out in front of him to Xenera, “Happy Valentine’s Day, Xenera.”

The Xerneas looked surprised mouth hanging open before she closed it, smiling as she took the flowers from Jack. “Oh Jack, they look lovely!” she exclaimed, looking from the flowers to Jack as she gave him a kiss.


“I’m glad you do like them” he replied with a grin. But the grin faulted a bit as he watch in surprise as Xenera took a bite out of the flowers. Silence hung around the room, as Xenera happily chewed and munch on the flowers before she looked up at Jack with a confused and worried look. The dingo recovered as he started to chuckling a bit, as he walked to the Pokemon's side and wrapping his arm around her, pulling Xenera into a hug.


“Well, guess I should of seen that coming” he added with a chuckle.


“But still, Happy Valentine’s Day” he repeated as Xenera smiled and went back to munching the flowers.
