The 14th is Ash Wednesday this year, and that solemn fast takes precedence over the feast of Saint Valentine. Last year was the best Valentine's Day I've had since I first started being attracted to other people, and this year I don't have the crippling anxiety and depression of being forced out of the house I'd called home for five years running - this year already would've been the best Valentine's Day ever for me...if it existed.

Valentine was a priest who defied his government's orders against joining young couples in marriage, and was executed for it. His defense of the Catholic Church's plan of marriage even unto death is why we celebrate his day with marital coitus. This year it would've been a Hump Day too if it wasn't cancelled.

Oh well, maybe some other time...
