Mage Doll report
Begin log, identifier: Officer Gomu
Oh...So this is the image we've decided to use for these?
Alright, that's fine, whatever I don't care.
Mage Dolls are animated life sized dolls...Well more like scarecrows I guess.
More often than not, they're crafted into the shape of a living person but in a way that mocks their appearance.
Further more, they'll often act like an exaggerated mockery of the person they're modeled after.
One major note about their appearance is that the center of their chests will always glow, harboring a crystal inside that gives them life.
It is also the main weakpoint which will be covered later.
We don't have a lot of information on how they're made, just how to take them out.
It is known that magic absolutely has a hand in their creation somehow.
They've been given the name "Mage Dolls" because of the thick magical residue coating the otherwise unremarkable cloth skin and cotton stuffing.
From what we've seen, Mage Dolls are mostly used to humiliate a target and just be a general nuisance.
Outside of that, they're mostly harmless and can be dispatched with ease.
To destroy a mage doll, you simply need to either reach into it's chest and pull out the crystal within and crush it.
Otherwise just burning it will deteriorate it into ash within seconds.
Please don't burn it in a public place however, they tend to fail and run wild.
The Mage Dolls are never placed in an area, they always seem to wander in themselves, usually in a place where their target frequents.
For example, I unfortunately had one of myself wandering around the precinct lobby, threatening to "beat you up"
and other things that aren't worth repeating in my opinion.
There is one concerning rumor though...
We've had sporadic reports of these Mage Dolls carrying weapons and stuffing themselves into confined spaces, lunging out to brutalizing their targets...Even one case of multiple dolls mimicking a single target and literally crawling out of the walls of his home.
Perhaps whatever spell is creating these things has been improved.
Even so, they're still just as easy to take out.
If we could get our hands on something similar, we could use them to lure out monsters...
Remind me to talk to Dr. Caroline in R&D.
