Model Type: Artemis Systems
Variant: Prototype Omni-frame unit Beta
Purpose: Variable armament/Ballistic version.
The last known surviving unit of a test team of 4 wolf types, the Beta unit was the designated heavy weapons specialist out of the team following the Assault Alpha, recon Delta, and supply Gamma units. Primarily operating in a 'pack' with her brothers and sister, she utilized the heavy weapons and ballistic armaments while her leader utilized close range and her younger siblings handled their duties. The Omni series were the first designed for specialized military missions, able to swap out a large arsenal at their main base or in the transport carrier that fielded them for missions. While any of the 4 can swap out and arm any of the items arranged for them, they tended to favor what best suited them. In Beta's case, guns and missiles. It was determined to be a success and there are multiple OMNI squads out in the world and many police forces employ OMNI type units, though obviously not carrying the military grade arsenal. Wolf type models operating in packs were the best suited frame types due to their great unit cohesion and high rate of successful missions. However, there is a downside to it.
Background Information
Beta unit is the only surviving member of the test team. Details on it are still unclear, but during a previous mission with her pack, they were ambushed and over run. Her sister, Delta was terminated shortly followed by her younger brother Gamma. Beta herself was heavily damaged and shut down while her leader and eldest brother, Alpha, charged the enemy and is currently MIA. She was recovered and reactivated but her younger siblings were totally destroyed and her elder brother no where to be found. The unit fell into a state of loss and depression and refused to react to any actions or comply with any commands.
Attempts to integrate her into other squad packs resulted in violence and she has actually demanded to be terminated. It's the only known case for a suicidal Techanoid. Technicians at Artemis were just about to do so until the director, Lawrence Ryder, stepped in.
He simply entered her holding cell, sat next to her while she was sulking in the corner, and simply petted her behind the ears telling her "It'll be alright." It's unknown what exactly happened, but she slowly came out of her depression and enjoyed his visits, primarily for the petting. He offered her a position in a team of special units for some missions he can't talk of, and would greatly like her help. She gladly accepted and shortly after the director arranged for her and the remaining arsenal of her pack to be deployed to locations unknown. It's rumored that her greatest desire it to become his personal PET, and that she is rather jealous of the current MAID unit that is always seen with him. Since then, she's gone by the name of "Betty" instead of her Beta designation, simply because her new master thinks it sounds cuter.
Other information about the unit is a rather interesting personality quirk. When the unit is stripped of her armor and weapons, she is rather shy, nervous, and unsure of herself. When she's armed, she's loud, arrogant, and cocky. Though she favors ballistic weaponry, she's slowly adjusting to using the weapons from her fallen siblings. It's like she wants to honor their deaths and try to be the best she can in any situation.
Likes: Target practice, challenges, master, petted behind the ears, being a 'good girl'
Dislikes: Memories of her siblings, letting master down, vacuum cleaners
