This is a file about all of what goes into making an Anuraur, mostly a work in progress but has a good amount of detail about the species in full.

Kitsyna Tyakoto as their Anuraur form. Original artwork here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/26334235/
Please note that I will want to see others' creations involving the Anuraur as a species, so this means any OCs or even inclusion in works of fiction. I am still developing them, but encourage use of the critters with at least some attribution to the original creator. As an extra addendum, any artwork before the posting of this that has them does not require the attribution as I had not officially developed them before then.

As someone whom has only come across this species today, please pardon the extreme lateness of this, reply-wise.
If I may be so bold as to provide some limited critique of the above:
The species on the whole has the feel (and indeed the look) of an engineered species that in some manner or form gained emancipation from the entity or being that made them (whether innately granted their freedom or via other means). I say this mostly due to the short-span adaptation and mutability of the species as shown coupled with a lack (or at least mention of) a clear evolutionary path, instead being fusions of multiple diversely-evolved beings.
This is further reinforced by their chosen nomadic hunter-gatherer society (which from description lacks agriculture and permanently settled locales aside from seasonal hunting camps), yet a familiarity and facility with technology, a dichotomy that contrasts with most societies able to interact successfully with agriculture-wielding permanent settlement peoples (usually permanent settlements, agriculture and farming push out nomadic hunter gatherer societies, sometimes to extinction due to a mix of environmental and social pressures).
I am decently intrigued to see if my commentary or ideas are on the mark, or if they have sparked some form of thinking on these matters (as you mention the race still being in development). I hope that I have at no point caused any form of offense or insult, as my observations are in no way meant as such in any manner.
Many thanks for sharing!

Your thoughts are definitely too far off the mark for what they are, at least socially-wise. I've yet to fully settle down how they have both settlements and Nomadic groups, but my initial thought is they are a type of Gypsy/Native for a real-world comparison. Their main method of thriving is to harmonize with their environment instead of exploit it, taking advantage of what exists rather than to build structures for cultivation. Settlements describes specifically the buildings and domiciles and not entirely synonymous with Cultivation or Farming. One does not need or require the other to actually be considered a settlement.
As for them being engineered....yes, they kinda are but not completely. I've yet to decide what other species/group it was that tasked themselves to help form the Anuraur, so that is being left blank until I can formulate other ideas towards it.
The mentions of technology is purely for contrast with the other properly settled races that exist, which I have yet to fully write down as of current. I hate to say you are grasping at some very theoretically empty straws and glasses to explain what you are thinking of, though it definitely is the case.
...from what I can understand, it appears that your critique comes from someone still not understanding how one could use limited amounts of technology by choice rather than being forced to.

I do apologize if I've accidentally given offense, it is, as I'd mentioned, unintended. While myself not a social scientist nor a cultural anthropologist, I do consider myself relatively well-read, albeit as a hobbyist in the field, though obviously your concepts and ideas on the matter are, by their very nature, accurate and specific for your particular setting.
As I seem to have accidentally caused some measure of offense, I shall politely withdraw. Please accept my apologies for any trouble or consternation I've caused you.
