Having looked over the loli dress that Dee was wearing with the idea of how it would look on her, Kat suggested to Dee that they switch dresses and go out to let Dani see how it looked on her and get Dani's opinion.
Both girls removed their dresses and Kat helped Dee into the yellow one, then stepped into the loli dress and turned her back to allow Dee to zip her up. In that moment of intimacy, with Dee's hands warm on her back, Kat began feeling guilty about the how she'd played with an innocent boy who she didn't know, but had quickly gotten to like a lot. Kat decided to confess.
'Dee', she said shyly,'I....um....I need to tell you something. I...uh...'
'I know what you're going to say', Dee interrupted. 'I know what you did to me.'
'Wha...wha....?', the weregirl stuttered. 'But how could you?'
Taking Kat by the shoulders and turning her to face her, Dee looked deeply into Kat's green eyes and then hugged her tightly. 'When you were hypnotizing me and giving me all those suggestions and stuff, there's one thing you didn't do, and that's erase my memory of what you did and who I was to begin with. I remember it all', Dee informed her.
Kat was shocked. 'But you aren't angry with me? You must be!"
'No, oddly enough I'm not', Dee told her. 'Maybe it's because I was kinda hunting you already, and looking to try to get close to you somehow. And this way I got to do a couple of things I never would have expected when I first saw you.'
'So what things are those?', Kat asked.
'Well,' Dee blushed and went on, 'I got to know you without even having to try out one of my silly pick-up lines and....'
Dee hesitated.
'And what?' Kat questioned.
'Um....we did kinda change clothes right in front of each other, you know?' Dee blushing even more. 'That was like a dream come true! I even like being a girl.' And here Dee looked down at the floor. 'There's only one problem', she pouted. 'I have to be home in a few hours, and I can't go home as a girl! So, can you please change me back when we're done trying on clothes?'
Kat nearly cried with relief that even though she'd played a dirty trick on Dee, she was forgiven. 'Of course I'll change you back.', she said happily. 'I think I've already even figured out how the spell is reversed. As soon as Dani has a chance to okay these dresses for me, we'll go back into the dressing room and I'll do it! How's that? But we have to get back together after you're a boy again and you go home! You DO want to, don't you?,' Kat pleaded, holding tightly to both of Dee's hands. 'We'll exchange phone numbers and friend each other on Facebook, right?'
'For sure!' Dee agreed immediately.'And when I'm a boy again, I'm going to ask you out. You better say yes too!'
'Oh, I will. You can count on that!', was the reply. And now it was Kat's turn to blush. "I think I'd go on a date with you even if you were still a girl,' Kat stuttered, slightly flustered by her feelings for her new friend.
'Now let's go out and show Dani how pretty we both are and then duck back in here to get you changed back.'
So, with secret little smiles on their faces, they joined hands and walked out of the dressing room side by side,
totally oblivious of Dani's sober expression.

Oh my. Well, Dani doesn't look too pleased at this turn of events. Or perhaps it's just the way they're holding hands already. But they do look awfully cute, and their little exchange with each other is so sweet. Dee is a wonderful person, to say the least, and it's so lovely to know that Kat has gotten a new friend out of all of this. And who knows, maybe more in the fullness of time. I'm very interested to see where things will go from here!
They look amazing in those dresses, too. I think purple is definitely Kat's color!

I think maybe Dani overheard some of their whispering in the dressing room and might or might not have been able to make out what they were saying. She does look suspicious, doesn't she? Them holding hands might be making her gaydar bleep. *giggles*
Yes, I think Dee is very nice and considerate, especially after Kat pulled the hypnotism and sex change stunts on her like she did. I think it's safe to say that there will definitely be a long term connection between the two. Judging by Kat's remark about going on a date with Dee even if Dee was a girl gives us a hint of what she is thinking and how much she likes Dee on just their short acquaintance.
I like those dresses a lot too! I wasn't sure a dark color like that purple would work for Kat, but I'm glad to hear that you think it does. I do too, though the yellow is nice on her also, for contrast. I know she's going to want them both!

*Grins* Knowing your family, I'd think she'd be more surprised if Kat wasn't interested in girls! Though it's nice to know that Kat would like Dee either way. And who knows, with how cool Dee is about being turned into a girl, maybe they could have the best of both worlds from time to time? Regardless, I can definitely see them striking up quite a beautiful relationship together, whatever the exact parameters of that relationship might be.
I was kind of curious to see how a dark colored dress would look on Kat, too, given her already mostly black fur coloring. But I think you/Salty picked just the right shade of purple to make it work really well, and it actually looks every bit as striking, in its way, as the yellow dress. Though I agree she should keep the yellow one, too, because it looked great on her as well. She's one of the rare people who can actually make yellow work, I think. Mind you, Dee does, too!

Yes, we do tend towards liking girls in my family all right. It must be in my genes or something.
Dee did take being turned into a girl right in stride didn't he? That's a definite plus in Kat's book, it appears. I know it is in mine too.
As to their relationship being long term, I plan on keeping up a running series of ....well, short stories, I guess you could call them......about these two and what happens between them (and maybe others in the family). Salty was kind and sweet enough to give me priority on her schedule to do this series which will end on number five, and I want to keep her as the sole artist doing the upcoming ones. She has graciously accepted doing so, but I can't be dominating her time and art, so after #5, when we begin a new story arc which will carry on from this one, they will come slower as they will be spaced out between personal art and commissions for others. I already have a good start on the plans for the next one too. ;3
I was a little doubtful about how well a dark color would look with Kat's black fur, but I like the style and the style really calls for dark colors, I think. That's one reason she needed to be wearing it for this picture. So I could see it on her and get other's opinions as well. Thanks for yours! :) Salty chose the shade. I just told her to make it dark purple. She did well. I think a light color is perhaps best for casual wear on Kat, but that dark purple is wonderful for a special occasion. It's more of a formal looking dress anyway. I'll have to experiment with other styles and colors too maybe.
Dee could wear anything and look good, I think. Her predominantly white fur could look fine with any color.

Uh-oh, I think someone's in for quite an earful when she gets home! Poor Kat. But can anyone really blame her for taking such a liking to Dee when she, or he, is so cute, and so good natured about the prank, too? Though I suppose getting an eyeful probably did help with that quite a bit, too! Sounds like they're well suited to each other and I predict a long and happy friendship between them, and maybe more depending how the date goes.
Super cute art and the story is so adorable! You come up with such beautiful ideas for art!

I don't know. Dani is pretty darn open minded. I mean she married Liane and Jessie, so that tells you something. ;3 I'm not sure what the sober face is about. Maybe she's thinking about how much the clothes are going to cost or something.
You know that eyeful helped keep Dee happy about her circumstances, not to mention getting to experience actually being a girl! I believe your prediction is a pretty safe bet but the road ahead may not be as smooth as it could be. Not with me at the wheel!
Thanks go to Salty for her hard work on the art, but I thank you for the compliment on the story and idea. This is one of the more fun projects, for me anyway, that I've done in quite a while.
