That's gonna be interesting. I never got my hair that long but the first time I trimmed it it felt weird. Pleasant, but weird.

its weird how long I let it get. I goes below my mouth if combed forward flat.

I have my hair long (past shoulders, and keep going) for over a decade, yet I still feel unconfortable when I have to cut them a bit longer than just the tips. Once I had long, that were covering my chest, but I had to cut them down (they were heavyli damaged by dyeing them)

Yeah, I still regret this. It was a badly made decision; lightening my hair was fair enough, but I've put daven-black dye on it (semi-permanent, so it should've washed easly) it washed to light green weeks later, so I looked like a merman with algae hair, and it didn't want to go away. Another dye would ruin them totally, and I wanted to have my silverish hair back, so I've cut them down.

Since on, I strongly plan what hair I want, and go to the hairdresser I trust. Now Im saving cash and time for silver-colored hair.

The thing I have always heard tho, bleach professionally but use vegetable based dyes at home. You can keep your hair in a bag while you sleep to penetrate your hair deeper and its safer to do touch ups with more veg based dyes since the damage is extremely minor. That's my plan at least.

I went from having over shoulder length hair to shaved. Phantom Ponytails are the worst.

I had 3+ feet of hair and one morning I randomly got the urge to take it all off, so I buzzed it down almost all the way. Not having the drag of hair when I turned my head bothered me for the first few days, I also instinctively kept going to push hair behind my ear that I didn't have. Seeing myself in the mirror was super weird as well!

I think he wants to shave it because long hair has typically been associated with pretty boys and homosexuality. After that gayness slipped outta him he's over compensating by being 'manly man' with a buzz cut.. and he's never gone back
