Sorry, that's what I meant by comment. All bids done before the countdown is finished is allowed. Otherwise, when doing an auction, I chose a "I'll close it at random" to prevent snipping if I feel I'm not ok with it. But I'm exploring all kinds of options on how to do them so yours is definitely allowed!

I'm sorry, but I do gotta say thank you for the kind words, it really meant a lot to read, and it means a lot to me to be good to work with!
I may be holding another auction for a different pose style soon, I...misjudged my time yet again lol I thought my plans for -next- week were this week! So I'm not sure yet, but I may have time to do another. In time for Valentine's is what I'm unsure about still.

In the future I'll likely offer these as regular commissions, just a lil busy at the moment and I'd likely do more generic, simple post ones for regular coms.

Do these work better for IOS or Androids?

I've only made one so far, for iphone, but me and Foxy's phones are different sizes and it seems to fit perfectly fine. But I can adjust this for different phones if you give me the model, and a screenshot of what your lock screen looks like. It just means the layout may change a little to make it fit on your phone better, the same general idea still works.

I think this is hardly a fair thing to say given that lock screens are generally the same layout. It's not like you own the copyright on making a character as a lock screen. Then to comment on every comment and bid with your own auction is just petty.

So the sun and moon she added with a symmetry tool because our image had a lime reffering to the game of thrones quote between two lovers. Unfortunately phone lock screens are all almost the same. Odds of two templates looking similar is very likely.

Have you contacted her to properly discuss this? I’ll talk to her when I get home but this is the first I have heard that anyone has thought she was copying their work. What I do see if is someone being very rude and obnoxious to both strawbs and her customers.

The moon phases definitely aren't unique, but personally I was inspired by jewelry I favourited on etsy, just made it shorter to fit in between the words from Game of Thrones: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/274.....ational-phases
It was also my favourite ring design when we were looking at rings, but I couldn't find any I liked for sale.

It also wouldn't make sense in any other place, and having it in the middle separates the two quotes, said by two different people. The original design had them on the sides of the screen, in repeating patterns, for example, which didn't work at all and looked incredibly off and busy. Again, there's a reason I placed the design this way, it isn't copied off of something you did. Just like how the coloured in borders were put in for a reason, the original pass for them was having them see-through like the speech bubble which again didn't feel right.

Another reason I personally chose to the borders this way, it's an incredibly common way to do it for app games and websites. The facebook app is a good example of that, which looks almost the exact same I've done it, I just made it fit the lockscreen, not open screen.

-At most-, I would maybe be find not making the speech bubble a speech bubble and just a shape instead, but even that isn't unique and fits the iphone theme.

If someone accuses you of something, most people would explain why that accusation is false. I find it odd you would think that's considered insecurity.

We know what your true intentions were anyways, and that’s to get more auctioneers on your auction. You had the option to message her privately, you didn’t and instead publicly advertised. I hope you expect your account to be taken down for the attempt of gaining profit by stealing customers. Just as bad as a McDonalds spokesman, smh.

I'm sorry but I do not follow you, and have not seen your lock screens. The only thing I can see that's quite similar is using a speech bubble (Which I chose to do as I've seen them on and off over the years, anime images or just general images, not yours, and it's shaped this way due to a text being a speech bubble, so it matches the phone theme), because otherwise the style, how you do patterns/borders, backgrounds are not at all how I do it. The other thing is -maybe- the coloured in borders, but I do that so the text isn't floating, isn't on the characters, and gives a space to leave a cute message without it blending in with the iphone icons at the top.

I made a phone background for me and my boyfriend when he went away for a little while. People loved it, showed interest in it as a commission type and now I have time to do so, with Valentine's being a perfect time to do it.

Yeah I saw her twitter posts. She's trying to claim you were inspired by her. XD Seriously? Then goes to complaint about how you charge more. Yeah artist can charge what they want. It's all about what people are willing to pay.

I think the issue that people are having isn't about the lock screen template, but that 1) you are directly attempting to steal customers from strawberryneko by referring them to your OWN auction and 2) you're making a big fuss publicly rather than handling this professionally via notes.

Spamming an auction and interrupting the bid chain on it is bad form and it definitely does not shine a good light on you. Your best course of action here would have been to privately note the bidders and artist instead of taking the route that you did. The way that you've gone about bringing this up to people makes you look more like you're trying to poach customers from another artist instead of just trying to protect your own business. It's not a very flattering way to present yourself to people when all is said and done.

Approaching this in a public manner has not convinced me to go bid on your auction or to even follow your page. It's had the opposite effect. Because of how you've presented yourself here, I can't help worry that I wouldn't have an enjoyable experience with commissioning you. Meanwhile, I already know from commissioning StrawberryNeko before that she will do a wonderful job with drawing my character, as well as my boyfriend's. On top of that, she's been an absolute joy to work with both times I've commissioned her in the past. Am I paying more for the assurance that I'll be getting a commission I'll be completely happy with that's not only in a style that I know and love but also from an artist that I know I love to work with? Yes, I am. Will it be worth it? Absolutely.

Youre honestly going to not only accuse this artist of stealing 'your' idea, which I've seen other artists create long before you, and then also have the audacity to plug your own work and spam everyone who comments with your profile saying you're cheaper priced and that you shouldn't bid on this YCH. Hate to tell ya, but you can't trademark picture ideas. Unless it's completely traced from your original picture/pose(s), you're just making yourself out to be a complete tool and earn very bad rep an business. Take your pettiness elsewhere and complain. Or, privately message them to talk about it, don't do it on the artist's submission.
