"Power Glove? Seriously?"
Theo rolled his eyes at his female assistant.
"Jist open the link an' keep me updated oan flecht parameters, Tina."
Young horned lizzard in tshirt and jeans mumbled something and started typing away on a laptop she had on her knees, while her canine colleague gave a thumbs up to two technicans standing in the distance.
After a minute or two, Tina nodded at Theo, who flipped a tiny switch on his glasses, which brought up feed from camera of the drone on the lenses. The drone was standing on a small platform around one hundred meters from him.
It was a sleek construction, shaped like a bullet with four engines strapped to two sets of wings. Each engine had two sets of four blades, making up for sixteen in total.
Along with the feed, a simple, almost "barebones" HUD. It shown speed, altitude and "fuel" - in this case, low-capacity battery - levels, along with a crosshair.
"Alright, you can fire 'em up anytime, Theo" said Tina.
Collie nodded and pressed a button on his glove, which instantly brought engines to life. First, there was low, yet quite audible buzzing of electric motors, then blades started to turn, quickly speeding up.
Theo pressed a button on his glases with his un-gloved hand, turning on the recorder.
"Openin' audio an' video log. Boston Dynamics 's -Eye an the Sky- project Head Engineer Theodor Brodie. Day fifteen of field test of a drone model x-509. Takeoff in three, two, one..."
Theo clenched his fist a bit twisted it upwards a little, making the engines turn from their default, horizontal position to vertical, allowing for vertical takeoff of whole contrapion.
His ears flicked as he started to hear a faint sound of helicopter approaching, but he concentrated on machine in front of him.
