It rings in my head whenever I see orange. Or white. Or.. WHY SHOULD I WORRY.

Anytime I absolutely have to be happy, I'm gonna look at this picture and think about how it got me interested in New York City, and from there historical architecture.

Fun Fact: Antonio Gaudi planned on building a 1180 foot skyscraper hotel in New York City, drawings commissioned in 1908. It was never built.

No one knows the true cause of why the project was cancelled, but it's highly likely that because Gaudi was a communist, he was repulsed by the idea of building a giant 7-room luxury hotel with intricate interior designs. 1180 feet tall and plenty of interior space, but more like a billionaire hotel for 7 people at a time.

It would have been built where the original World Trade Center was, where the WTC Marriott hotel was.

There's a cathedral in Barcelona still being built, Sagrada Familia designed by Antonio Gaudi as well, that's been being built since 1880s and will not be complete until the 2020s.

Antonio Gaudi gave a lot to give Barcelona its own unique feel. Lots of architecture around Barcelona was built or influenced by Gaudi. Catalan modernism/Modernisme was the architectural school he created.
