So, no real reason here, just Mao turning into a cape buffalo. Maybe he's going to Zootopia and learning the hard way that humans do not exist there. Well either way, he'll make a nice handsome cape buffalo when this is done.
I like how part of his hair is turning into the horns, which is a very nice touch!
