This is just a piece showing the simple steps used with Photoshop to clean up a sketch. I got bored and was looking at some old junk so I thought this might be a fun little project.

1. Image is scanned and cropped.

2. Auto levels ran to darken the line work. The image was also magnified by several hundred percent so that the eraser tool could be used to get rid of the paper lines on the inside of the character.

3. Dark areas are filled in with black.

4. Outer lines are removed with the eraser tool and the color fill in of the character begins.

5. Line work is darkened by hand with the zoomed pencil tool. Coloring is finished and a rudimentary background of solid blue is added. The piece is now finished and ready for uploading.
