She's basically a female Felix in a lot of ways. :V

Toby is one laid back and perceptive cougar. I think he is like me, in some ways.you have to earn respect and not expect it because of some title or family you were born into.

Despite his persona; beliefs some people, like Rose, will still defer to him and will want others to know they met someone of importance, if only in their eyes.

I really like this comment because it highlights where I really want Rose and Toby to differ.

Toby wants away from the structure of his society. He sees it for its flaws and its inequalities. There's also a small part of him that doesn't want the responsibilities that would be imposed on him in the role his society would demand of him. In other words, his feelings aren't altogether altruistic -- there's a bit of selfishness involved there as well.

Rose on the other hand embraces those traditional roles. She admires and respects people in those positions and sees them as a key part of her culture. The likes the certainty of structure and worries that without it, things will simply fall into chaos.

This will come up again later -- Rose will be back in the storyline after the next one.

Thank you, and I can see Toby agreeing to Rose's request. I think though he might be a tad embarrassed about it, he doesn't want to see her feelings hurt.
