Jane with her trustfull personal bodyguard Banon both escaped the palace of Kant after Leonard tried to rape his arranged bride to be after having suspicions of her being unfaithful with his stepbrother and oposing both their marriage and his insinuations. Leonard ended up with a broken back after Banon came to help Jane. Both of them seek for a brighter future, where Jane is free to wed the man she loves and Banon ain't wanted for leaving a king to be handicaped.
