Not ALL console gaming sucks >_>
Then again when I play PC games, I have a knack of playing the older ones, so getting good hardware for it is usually pretty easy
Thank you Gmod for using the Source engine and HL2 graphics.
I shudder to think if it was made on the CryEngine

it just depends really... if your pc is high end enough to play the newest game at the highest resolution, then more power to ya, but not everyone is made of money. a console is more affordable, but you miss out on some games like overhead view strategy where it's much easier to control with a keyboard and mouse vs a controller. guess it's a toss up and just depends on your situation and preferences.
also... my current pc will never be fast enough to run FEAR 2, but since it came out for 360 also, i rented it. played it... beat it in a few hours and returned it for a fraction of the full price. if i had done the same for pc, there's a chance that my graphics card wouldn't have been compatible, and i'd be SOL for returning an opened PC game. so there's always a draw back.
This reminds me of 3 weeks ago....
*flashback sequence*
I was at a game store, checking out the used PS2 games for $9.99 and lower, when I should come across--*GASP!*--a copy of Half-Life! I giddily purchase the game, and pop it in. I knew I was in for a fun night of headcrab bashing.
Or so I thought.
2 minutes into the main game intro, it freezes.
I try the Decay missions-it works.
I try multiplayer-it works.
But I wanted to play the main game.
I took it back and they put it under the buffer; the disc was flawless.
Still didn't work.
So I took it back and got MGS2 with an extra $3.00 in store credit, and the game is quite fun.
Though I still miss playing Counter-Strike.
Moral: Don't leave your PC under the care of people you know aren't computer savvy, because your power supply will get jammed with dust and catch fire, leaving you with only a game that has better use as a coaster now.
