Duuuude, that takes me back! I remember very clearly trying to explain to my sister how utterly perfect that song explained Fëanor -- his personality, his history, his arrogance, everything. Not to mention the rest of the songs on that album -- my favorites included Noldor (Dead Winter Reigns), Nightfall, and The Eldar. I also remember the look she gave me -- a sort of combination between pity and fear, like "maybe if I just nod and pretend like I know what she's talking about, then she'll leave me alone."

Haha that´s so true, i remember that i asked an old friend about that cd and she told me that was horrible for her. of course wasn´t her kind of music, and of course the lyrics wasn´t important for her. That will happen always. One of my faves song in the album is Mirror, Mirror
LOL, true. It's not necessarily my cup of tea musically, either, but like I said before, somehow it really fits the tone and aura of the Silmarillion for me.
Mirror, Mirror is okay, I like it okay, but I discovered it just a little after my sister was really into this band called M2M, a Norwegian pop duo, who also did a song called Mirror, Mirror. So every time I hear the song by Blind Guardian, I can't help but think of the M2M song. X3

That Broach on the Fox's chest is the Dragon Tear, first seen in the game Breath of Fire 2 as an emotion identifier. After that, the Dragon Tear wasn't seen again until BoF4 when it had become an Accessory item that warded against all abnormal status ailments. Yeah, I'm geeking out right now. =b
