Since
Ifra drew this deviously good picture for me, I had no choice but to retaliate. With a really crappy sketch. I'll improve with time! Then I can get some REAL revenge!
This is a "what-if" scene from a voracious game of StarFinder (D&D in space) that I played with Ifra and three others yesterday. In order to obtain their spaceship, they had to go figure out why their engine parts hadn't been delivered yet. This locust-like alien (a Shirren) was being harassed by bandits, so they rescued him and he drove their parts back for them. Unfortunately, they also let him see the large dragon-kin soldier swallowing a live mouse-man (an Ysoki) whole. He borrowed the idea and swallowed Lunch, the party's ysoki engineer, after they arrived back at the shipwright. In the actual game, he continued to devour the elven cleric and the shirren technomancer, but the dragon-kin made him spit them out.
In this little what-if scenario, he's less greedy and just gobbles up Lunch. Nobody notices that the mouse is missing until he leaves, when Garret, the owner of the shop, realises the party is missing a member, but by then it's too late. Xylit has no ill intentions, but he doesn't understand much about eating people yet, and although he means Lunch no harm, if he doesn't do something soon, he'll wake up as bug-pudge!
