In 2015 I hit a patch of unemployment, and to give myself something to do between hunting for jobs, I started a daily drawing challenge that I called "30 Days of Dragons" and tried to paint a dragon every day for a month.

This is #22 - Monarch Dragon. A follow-up to the Milkweed dragon, based on a Monarch butterfly. Which I've been lucky enough to get in my garden; they're becoming a bit rare, sadly.
