Mel is Beyxer’s assistant and synthetic passion project.
She is a testament to his technical abilities as not only did he handcraft her intelligence over the period of many months using a recovered “ST AI” programming module.
He meticulously refurbished and customised an old C-Series M.E.L-Unit to house her.

However before her body was completed, she spent time being a companion AI in the shared workshop.
Steadily developing her personality further through her interactions with Beyxer and the other members of the team that would pop in and out of the workspace.

Mel herself always strives to learn and be helpful by assisting the team wherever she can.
This is partly due to her original AI parameters of being a personal assistant but also to the teachings and support she received in the early stages of her operation.
Though because of this, she has been known to get frustrated/grumpy if she remains idle for too long.

Despite being primarily programmed to be an assistant, Mel is still very much combat capable and is able to keep up with the others by utilising her robotic response times to her advantage.
Also since she is the only synthetic within the team, she is often used to investigate areas that would otherwise be hazardous for organics.
Much to the dismay of Beyxer.

Unfortunately for Mel, it is typically Trenco settlements that pose more of a threat to her.
As whilst many Trenco happily tolerate or are just not bothered by being in close proximity with synthetics.
There are those who take great pleasure from mistreating and dismantling synthetics in horrendous ways, particularly in more seedy settlements.
So to avoid causing a commotion and as well as for her own safety, she tends to stay very close to Beyxer when out and about in such places.
