Mercury Seven [by The_Raf]

Bucky was just a young cub in the 1960s, at the height of the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union. The power of the rockets captured his attention and his imagination. The early astronauts, especially the Mercury Seven, were heroes to him. He dreamed of being an astronaut himself one day, zipping into a shiny silver pressure suit, squeezing into a tiny Mercury capsule, and saying those magic words: "Liftoff! The clock has started."
